DJ Super Jaimie by Rob McCarthy

Charlotte Balibar aka DJ SuperJaimie was born and raised in Paris. Her musical training began with piano lessons at the age of 9 and continued throughout high school when she joined her first band as a singer and keyboard player.

After moving to New York in 1996, Charlotte continued to perform as a Jazz/Bossa/French singer and also joined the Lafayette Inspirational Ensemble, a renowned Gospel choir in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.

As part of the burgeoning creative community of Fort Greene/Clinton Hill, Charlotte got her start as a DJ at the now legendary Grand 275, where she initiated the monthly First Friday is French Friday parties.

Her unique and eclectic style led her to become successful as a DJ and work at established New York lounges, hotels, clubs, bars and restaurants such as ELSEWHERE CLUB, LE BAIN @ The Standard Hotel, MOXY Hotel Times Square, STK Rooftop, Ph D Rooftop @ The DREAM Hotel Downtown, OUTPUT/The Panther Room, SOHO House, BUDDHA BAR, Gitano NYC, Mister H @ The Mondrian Soho, Tribeca Grand Hotel, HUDSON Hotel, EMPIRE Hotel, PROVOCATEUR NY, The Hotel on Rivington, UPSTAIRS NYC, SIXTY Thompson, Jupiter Disco, Black Flamingo, The CARLTON Hotel, HUDSON Terrace, Café Balearica, SKYROOM, The ROYALTON Hotel, Fig & Olive, Le District, LOTUS, PARAMOUNT Bar, Norwood Club, and through her collaboration with Célia Faussart of Les Nubians, at BUBBLE Lounge, SOB's & Le Poisson Rouge. While travelling abroad she made a few guest appearances in Paris (Chacha Club, Café Germain) and London (The Dog & Whistle Pub, Hertford).

Her credits also include major events and clients such as the Air France 80th anniversary, the opening of B54 @ the Hyatt Times Square and CALYPSO Madison Avenue, the Screen Actors Guild 75th Anniversary, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the NY Public Library20th Century Fox, Narciso Rodriguez, the United Nations, the French Institute-Alliance Française, Roche Bobois, XL Airways, Volkswagen, Alessi, Dreamworks, IDEELI and LIERAC.

In 2010 Charlotte started a weekly nightlife column for frenchmorning.com (first and largest web-magazine in French in the US) and founded the band LOST TEMPO iN PARiS blending live music, beats & vocals.

A few years later she created and hosted a video series project entitled Follow The Beats exploring NYC nightlife from the unique point of view of a DJ. She was also selected to join the Billboard Dance/Electronic DJ reporting panel in October 2014 while further exploring music journalism and hosting.

After entertaining diverse crowds at renowned NYC venues for nearly 10 years, Charlotte ventured into making her own music.

She released her debut single “Feel The Vibe” on The Sound of New York City in the summer of 2019. The release also included remixes from Ireland’s Deep House favorite Glenn Davis, Italian master DJ Rocca and co-producer/label owner Danilo Braca.

Her 2nd single "Homage To Jean S”, a tribute to American actress & civil rights activist Jean Seberg, was released in February 2021 followed by remixes that featured a wide variety of reworks by Mr Ashley Beedle and his North Street West crew, Synth & Soda, The Odd Monks and Danilo Braca.

"Xpress Yourself" was released in 2022 along with remixes by label head Danilo Braca and balearic master Chris Coco.
